Our approach to the NEW Normal of COVID 1

We would just like to assure you that we have taken and will continue to take a very stringent and professional approach to reopening our beautiful Colonial Casa for business now that Cuba has reopened it’s borders to Tourism.

We are very conscious of our role in ensuring the protection of not only you, our customers but also of our whole team and our neighbours from potential transfer of the virus from visitors to Cuba.

We count ourselves as extremely fortunate that we have trained nurse on our housekeeping team. To ensure that all rooms and shared areas are maintained to the highest safety standards, we have taken full advantage of their help and professional training in parallel with advice received from the Cuban Government and Tourism Industry and our owner / manager has :

  • also undertaken and successfully passed with distinction :
an Epidemic and Pandemic: Awareness & Safety Course in addition to taking and passing a Coronavirus (Covid 19) Awareness Course
  • Revisited and enhanced where necessary all of our Cleaning, Disinfecting, Cleanliness and Distancing processes.
  • Reviewed and confirmed that we already met and will continue to meet the food hygiene standards  whilst providing meals.
  • Introduced Checklists / Controls / Training for all of the team.
  • Introduced mask wearing during times of interaction with you our guests and whilst undertaking cleaning / maintenance duties
  • Reduced our room/guest capacity, giving adequate space for social distancing and reduced interaction between different groups of guests, especially whilst dining.
  • Introduced flexible booking options to flex our accommodation as required and offer smaller capacity for single person and couples, or larger capacity to family groups or groups of friends who would like to ensure they are the sole guests staying at the casa.
  • Increased the time period between checkout and check-in to ensure there is additional time to undertake necessary deep cleaning and airing.
  • Introduced a schedule to support well coordinated arrival and departure times for our guests.
  • Created a set of guidelines for our guests to help minimise risk to themselves and others.
  • Reorganised the casa to enable the team to use separate lounge and dining areas to reduce contact time with you, the guests; thus making the house more self-contained, private and safety aware.

Please rest assured that despite all these new measures, we will still be available to support you during your stay and provide you with the experience that you require to help you make the most of your trip. In order to help with this and reduce physical interaction, each room is provided with a local SIM/ Phone, we just ask that you pay any call charges for its use.

On booking you will, as always, receive our updated complimentary Guide To Holidaying in Cuba to help you prepare for your trip to this most lovely of Islands

Cuba as a holiday destination has an excellent record for its control and management of Covid19 and is also famous for having the best medical system in Latin America, as a result it has fast become a popular destination for Medical Tourism.

We hope that all of the above goes a long way to giving you the confidence you are seeking, in order to entrust us with providing you with a safe home from home during your time in Havana.

Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements and agree the room / combination of rooms that will best suit you during your stay.
